This webinar will explain on the Woodland Carbon Code, the UK’s only domestic carbon standard, the types of woodland creation projects in the scheme, and the many social and environmental benefits they provide. It will present the Woodland Carbon Units on offer from these projects, and clarify how they can be used by companies to compensate their gross GHG emissions, or to help in claims of carbon neutrality.

This topical event covers four diverse presentations on the innovative management of wastewater and waste. The first presentation highlights the recycling of domestic wastewater by the agricultural industry. Latest research findings on the marketable yield of an example crop will be presented. The second presentation is concerned with the waste management hierarchy. This is followed by two linked presentations on managing and incineration of hazardous waste.

EE1015 - Denny Bros Ltd: Business Resource Efficiency Case Study

Denny Bros Ltd is a leading independent specialist print company, based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. This family owned business was a general printer until the 1970’s when they invented and patented the leaflet label Fix-a-Form®. In 2008 they achieved ISO14001 accreditation and have since undertaken several resource efficiency projects which have reduced their electricity use by over 40%, gas by 28% and water usage by nearly 50%. Julian Colman of Denny Bros Ltd will talk us through these initiatives and the benefits they have delivered to the company.
