MI1216 - Site Visit to Lincolnshire Energy from Waste Plant

Time: 13:30 - 15:30   Region: Midlands
Venue: Lincoln Energy From Waste Plant, Paving Way, Off Whisby Road, North Hykeham, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, LN6 3QW

Few Places Remaining

Officially opened in 2014, the Lincoln energy from waste plant uses over 150,000 tonnes of waste to generate enough electricity - 11 megawatts - to power 15,000 homes each year. Largely using waste that cannot be recycled or composted, the plant is a prime example of waste hierarchy and a great chance to reflect on the circular economy.

At this site visit you’ll get to see the plant in action, and what happens to all the household waste as it’s turned into a useable and valuable supply of electricity. This is also your opportunity to meet and network with fellow IEMA members in the region, so book your place today.
