Join us in visiting The Cardiff Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) - the largest ERF in Wales, treating waste from a number of local authority and local business contracts. The facility handles 350,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste per year and diverts at least 95% of South Wales’ residual waste away from landfill. It also generates 30MW of electricity for the national grid; enough to power 50,000 households.
