CS1216 - Guide to Integrating the Circular Economy in Organisations - BS8001 Consultation Event
Time: 14:00 - 16:30 Region: Central Scotland
Venue: The Dome, 14 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 2PF
IEMA has been working with the British Standards Institute (BSI) over the past 18 months to help develop the public consultation draft of a new guide standard to help enable organisations integrate the Circular Economy into their activities (BS8001). The standard is set out in the form of core Circular Economy principles and a framework of activities that should help any organisation on its circularity journey, whether they are just beginning to explore the concept or are ready to integrate it within a fundamental change in their business model.
The workshop will provide you with practical advice on how to structure and take forward activity to begin, advance and promote the circular economy in your organisation, as well as providing input that IEMA will use in its response to the consultation on this draft standard.
This is an perfect opportunity to improve your understanding of actions that can be taken to help your organisation’s exploration of circularity and discuss the challenges with like-minded professionals.
During the workshop, you’ll have plenty of time to discuss and debate key aspects of the consultation draft of BS8001. You can access this BSI’s consultation document here.
