Venue: Greene King Brewery, Westgate Street, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, IP33 1 QT

Few Places Remaining

The Greene King Brewery in Bury St Edmunds brews some of the best known and best loved beers in the UK including Old Speckled Hen, Greene King IPA and Abbot Ale and is the UK's largest pub retailer and brewer.

Located in the heart of Bury St Edmunds, the brewery achieves a throughput of over 1.1 million hectolitres of beer per year - but with this, come the inevitable pressures of decreasing water availability, expensive energy and extremely close neighbours.

During the site visit you’ll learn about Greene King's approach to managing its interactions with the environment in particular in tandem with its quality programme as well as finding out about the brewing process. There will also be an opportunity to taste some of its well-, and lesser- known beers.

Book your place today while spaces remain so you can come along to this unique site visit and meet other members of the East of England Network.
