Join us in visiting The Cardiff Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) - the largest ERF in Wales, treating waste from a number of local authority and local business contracts.

The facility handles 350,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste per year and diverts at least 95% of South Wales’ residual waste away from landfill. It also generates 30MW of electricity for the national grid; enough to power 50,000 households.

Join your IEMA Wales Network in visiting Cardiff ERF’s environmental education centre, where you'll enjoy a tour of the facility, learn more about the energy recover technology and discover its crucial contribution to the waste hierarchy.
